Savannah, Georgia...

Well, we made i to Savannah, Georgia in a little over 18 hours. We left home at about 10:45 and arrived here at 4:30. We are at a brand spanking new Embassy Suites (4 days old to be exact) and I am coming at you from our free in-room wireless internet while MIL, Hubster and the boys are at the pool. The weather is quite yucky (drizzley and 20 degrees) but there is GREEN grass and no snow! WOOT WOOT!

We will finish our travels tomorrow after our free "cooked to order" breakfast and maybe a little shopping ;o) We are about 495 kms from our destination in Davenport, Florida, so that equates to about 4.5 hours. After the kids' behaviour in the car for the past 18 hours, 4.5 will be a piece of cake. They were AMAZING. Threepeat slept from about 11:20 to 6:15 and the older boys slept almost as long. Hubster drove until 7:00 and I took over so that he could sleep for a few hours and then we switched a few times throughout the day. We drove through cloudy, rainy weather ALL the way down and in some parts of West Virginia and Virginia, the fog was like pea soup...pretty scary. I didn't sleep much through the night (very difficult to sleep in a car, almost upright), but I will make up for that with a great night's sleep in a bed that has never been slept in!!!

When the boys get back from the pool, we will shower and then head down to the lobby for the Manager's Reception (read as free booze from 5:30 to 7:30) and then head off to Ruby Tuesday's for dinner. We should be home by 9:00, just in time for a nice, long, much needed sleep.

Thanks to everyone for their comments, emails and FB messages wishing us a good trip! We love you all!

"Talk" to you all later!!
