GREAT weekend!!!

I love my friends (((((THIS))))) much!!!

We had such a nice time with Michele, Scott, Madison and Peyton and their extended family this weekend! In true form, we felt just like family. The warmth and love we feel from them is unsurpassed.

We had a VERY long drive down on Friday, with a 45 minute delay at the border (it was 9-11), and the boys nearly drove me mad with the yelling, bickering and "Are we there yet?"s, but we finally arrived at the hotel at about 9:00 pm. The hotel was nice and we were exhausted, so we hunkered down at about 10:00.

Saturday morning was Bat Mitzvah day. We arrived at the Country Club (which was lovely) at about 10:10, for a 10:30 service. Madi was absolutely gorgeous and did a fantastic job with her Torah readings. We learned so much about the Jewish faith and were so blessed to be a part of such an intimate affair! The party was amazing. I think I danced for an hour straight. I STILL ache today! LOL

Sunday was a family day. We went shopping at Target, had lunch at Olive Garden and headed over to Scott and Michele's at about 4:00. Boy Oneder and Peyton rode Peyton's dirt bike for an hour and then the kids all played Wii. Madi showed me all of her beautiful gifts and then we headed to "Five Guys" for hamburgers and fries to die for (sorry Jenny Craig). After dinner, we headed to "The Cow" for some gelato and then it was time to say our good-byes to Mich, Scott, Madi, Peyton and Stu and Carol (Mich's parents). I hate good-byes.

We got back to the hotel at about 9:30. Middleman had not been himself all day...very quiet and tired. When we got home, he was freezing cold, even though he was wrapped up in jammies, sheets, a comforter and an extra blanket. Altough I didn't bring my thermometer, my "mom-meter lips" knew he had a fever. He had diarreah too. Poor dude.

I gave him some Advil and we were all asleep by 10:20.

This morning, his fever was gone, but his tummy still hurt, so I headed over to Wegman's to grab some tylenol, pepto-bismol and watermelon. He had some watermelon to wash down the Pepto and we left the hotel at about 10:20 am.

It was a long drive, but the kids were REALLY good the whole time...thank God for dual DVD players!! Threepeat fell asleep at about 8:30 and we got home at about 9:25.

It's 11:29 pm and I am still awake. DUH!

Work tomorrow...best be going to bed.

A few photos to follow tomorrow. Pin It
